  1. Hi Alain,

    When I activate the plugin with settings of “Always show titles”, the titles still disappear upon hover. Is this intended function? I would like to still have those titles show, always.

    Also, fwiw, if I use the plugin via the widget, it is really messed up… if I place it at the top of the sidebar, it needs css changes, if I put it lower in the sidebar, it runs off the side of page completely.

    However, if I place the short-code in a text widget, it works just fine. 🙂

    This is a beautiful presentation of directional navigation, thanks.

    BTW, I’d like to (+1) the ability to place the image via custom field instead of attachment.

  2. Hello,

    I have done what was said about attaching the image to the most recent post in a category to get that category to show in the menu, but once a new post is made after that (without attaching the image) the category goes away from the menu. I don’t want the poster of this site to have to attach an image each time they post. How can I just make that category stay put?

    Thanks in advance.

    Just a note to my comment, I know that Alain said “if you select categories in your menu it will take the last image attached to the last post under this category.” This doesn’t seem to be working for me – the latest post in my categories has an image but it doesn’t show; the field is blank.

  4. Hmm – I had this working nicely as a little demo and then when I added a whole load of categories and posts, all the images disappeared. Not all of my posts have images. Looking at the source, the urls for the background images are all blank, like this:

    style=’background-image:url();

    How are the images selected? Sorry – I can’t post the site up as it’s on localhost right now. Thnx for any help.

    You can see how strange the menu looks like here http://nl.ifloat.nl/?page_id=2

    The original images are 528px by 300px, i have set Fixed Dimension to 200px and Open Dimension to 300. I can see now that you hard coded choosing medium-sized thumbnail as background and i wonder what’s the point of allowing Fixed Dimension to be changed.
    Is it possible to add a drop down to your configuration page so that i can choose which image to use: small-size; medium-size; large-size; original image?
